Irish League I Print E-mail
Ballymena & Antrim opened this season's Irish League campaign on Sunday at the Antrim Forum. Competing in the Premiership after last season's double promotion, it was always going to be a case of "every point counts", and so it proved as the club claimed 2nd in the Women's match and 4th in the Men's match - the men especially grateful for every point as 2 clubs finished just 1 point behind them.
A day of sunshine and showers had many top performances, check out the Gallery for some highlights.

Belfast Marathon Print E-mail
Ballymena & Antrim were again amongst the prizes at this year's Belfast Marathon. After 2 years of running with a mixed team, culminating in last year's victory, this year it was the turn of the men to uphold the club honour.
Sammy Millar led the way, mixing it with the Kenyans on leg1. He handed to late replacement Kieran O'Connell, who kept the team in touch and handed to Jarleth Falls for the long 3rd leg up the Antrim Road.
By now the gaps betweent he teams was widenning, and Matt Wray had a lonely and windy run through the Duncrue Industrial Estate before handing to Ian Barrett for the last leg - just managing to bring the team home in under 2h30 and in 3rd place overall.
