Club training sessions

The last circuit training session for this winter will be on Tuesday 6th March 2012 commencing as usual at 18:30 in St Louis Grammar School, Ballymena.

From Tuesday 13th March 2012 the club will be based at Antrim Stadium on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Convening in the clubhouse from 18:00 and all group sessions starting by 19:00.  Everyone attending a club session is reminded to check in and pay your subs in the clubhouse.

 

Track & Field Winter Training

Current the club is undertaking winter training;

  • Tuesday night at St. Louis Grammer School, Ballymena @ 18:30hr
  • Thursday night at Antrim Forum track, Antrim @ 19:00hr

 

NIMAA Championships

 

On a very warm day with just a few tiny drops of rain a number of BAAC men won a clutch of medals.

In the sprints Seamus Agnew M55 was 3rd in 200m in 29.05 and third in 400m in 68.15. In the same 400m Julian Kennedy , also M55 was 4th in 70.52. In the 5000m Matt Wray put in his usual gutsy performance and was first M45 in an excellent 16m19.38s.

In the field in the hammer M35 Gareth Moffatt threw 32m50 for 2nd. In the shot Julian Kennedy was 1st M55 with 9m14 as also was Ernest Tuff in M70 with 10m89. In Discus Ernest was 1st M70 with 32m42.In Javelin M55 Frank McCrystal was 1st M55 with 33m12 and Julian runner up with 31.19.

Finally in High Jump Julian won his division with 1m38.
