Olympic Selection!

Maybe a misleading title but still a newsworthy event - seven of our athletes have been selected to represent Northern Ireland in the Sainsbury's 2012 Schools Games to be held on Wednesday 9th May at the Olympic Park.

With an expected audience of over 30,000 spectators this is sure to be a fantastic occasion. The competition aims to mirror the Olympic and Paralympic Games - complete with opening and closing ceremonies. It will be the last 'test' event to be held in the Olympic Park before the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony on 27 July.

Our selected athletes are: Ruari Brogan, Alan Curtis, Megan Downey, Emma Kelso, Roisin O'Kane, Stuart Martin, and Melissa Moffett.  Congratulations to everyone selected and good luck to everyone representing Northern Ireland.
