Matt Wray turned in another excellent performance, this time over 7.5miles at the Northern Ireland Senior Cross Country Championships. Despite being a longer distance than more recent races, Matt settled into a group just outside the top 20 and managed to maintain 28th spot at the end of the 6 laps. Ian Barrett was a few places further back in 43rd.

Six Ballymena & Antrim AC athletes were selected to represent Belfast in the Inter-City Indoor Cup held in Manchester. Paul Brizzel was the most successful with victory in the 200m in 21.83s. Gareth Hill followed up last week's 1500m with 2nd place in the 800m in 1m55.39.
Sean McMahon led a trio of jumpers with 3rd in the Long Jump (6m79), while Caolan Flanagan jumped over 2m04 for 4th spot and Claire Willinson cleared 1m59 for 5th.

Another medal for Matt Wray in the Northern Ireland Veteran XC. Matt finished 7th overall and 3rd Over 40 in the Championship race in Bangor, to add another trophy to his collection.
