Ballymena & Antrim once again returned from the Ballymena Ecos 5 laden with trophies, even if it was not quite the haul of previous years.
Jarleth Falls led from gun to tape, gradually dropping his challengers one-by-one until finally crossing the line 10sec clear of the field. Next up was Matt Wray, running despite a ladder related mishap, he still crossed the line in 14th. Ian Barrett in 21st and Sammy Millar in 34th completed the team, which was good enough for 3rd position in a strong team competition.
Pauline Thom just missed out on 2nd place overall, despite a strong sprint finish, but still collected the prize money for 3rd. With Doreen McKinnell just a few places and a little over 1 minute back, the ladies are looking for recruites to challenge for the team trophy themselves next year.
