The Ballymena ECOS 5 mile road race was turned into the Ballymena & Antrim 5 mile race as BAAC athletes ran away with all the top trophies. In a close battle with the host club, the 4 athletes in Green, White & Black came out top in every contest.
Early on the top 3 broke away, with Jarleth Falls and Eddie King both in contention. As the race entered the last mile, Jarleth eaked out a lead to cross the line first in 25:30. Eddie crossed the line 3rd, enough to take home the 2nd Male open prize. Not far behind in the midst of the next bunch, Matt Wray was mashing his previous best and dominating the M40 category, 6th overall in 26:20.
With Ian Barrett providing back-up in 12th, the team prize was secured by 6pts over the host club.
